wilderness

As one moves through the wilderness from the street towards the library’s entrance the landscape changes. At the street’s edge the spaces are open, and full of activity. Performance areas, cafés, skateboarders, temporary pavilions and installation art. Moving though these, spaces become enclosed and intimate for smaller groups to study, debate and enjoy cultural works. Further inwards becoming totally enclosed and silent for individual study, relaxation and contemplation.
