brief
To transform a dark basement flat into a light and airy two storey apartment for living and working

concept
A new open plan living space was created in the basement level with direct access to the rear garden, itself an extension of the internal space. Bedrooms were relocated to the ground floor and feature fully glazed ensuite bathrooms.

All of the existing load-bearing structure was removed from the basement and the front garden was excavated in order to maximise light and and space for storage.
