Our Artpoint project has picked up a ‘Project of the Year’ Prize from Vlast Magazine in Kazakhstan.

Vlast magazine had this to say about the project,

‘Cultural Space ARTPOINT in Almaty was established within the framework of the ARTBATFest with the support of the British Council and was the creation of architectural bureau Atomik Architecture. The Artpoint Pavilion appeared in a vacant lot in the center of Almaty and lasted four months; it completely transformed the entire area – at ARTPOINT during this time there were meetings, film showings, small concerts, debates and festivals. Our first experience of such an outdoor cultural area proved brilliant.’

The other two prize winning projects were ‘Clique Fest’ Film Festival and ‘Oyla’, a popular science magazine published for children in Kazakh and Russian languages.

Vlast is a quarterly publication and online magazine focusing on economics, politics, business, culture and life in Kazakhstan.
