The Chapel Beacon is a building for the community at the heart of Chapel St Leonards village, a focus and a destination throughout the year for young and old, villager and visitor alike. It strengthens and enhances the neighbourhood’s amenities, as well as promoting new routes through the village to the site. The Chapel Beacon will visually reinforce the connection between the beach and the village centre. The building consists of a series of pebble forms orientated around a common interaction space. The Beacon is then surrounded by a common building envelope unifying the building as a whole.
